Your Practice Support Team
April Francis, Practice Manager
I joined Fenton Vets as Practice Manager in June 2012. Having previously worked in a corporate Veterinary Group in the East of England, I am experienced in the industry and in the ins and outs of running a veterinary practice. I am involved in all areas at Fenton: reception, in patients, stock and behind the scenes, as well as the occasional farm visit – I enjoy a hands on role. Besides work, I am a big rugby fan and am married to a Welsh man – it’s Wales all the way! I am the owner of a naughty border terrier called Dudley.
Sian Morris, Head Receptionist
I joined the Fenton team in April 2014, bringing with me wealth of experience in admin and customer service roles. I am very excited at joining practice, as I have a passion for all creatures great and small. I look forward to getting to know all the Fenton’s clients both Small and Farm, and speak Welsh fluently so can communicate with the Welsh speakers of the community. Outside of work, I enjoy family time and walking my dog, Snowy.
Sara Southern, Receptionist
I joined Fenton Vets in July 2004 and am an active member of the Small Animal reception team. I was born in Haverfordwest, so know most of our clients and am always up for some friendly banter! I work part-time, and when not in work she enjoys reading and am learning to crochet. I haves two naughty Westies and a Cairn Terrier.
Nicola Buckley, TB Coordinator/Admin
I joined the practice in 2003 as a farm receptionist, since which I have become involved in many aspects of Fenton Vets, including processing samples in the lab. My current role involves organising TB tests, as well as being the first person everyone calls when technology says “NO”. My various hobbies include playing darts and Dog agility.
Mavis Davies, Receptionist
I am one one Fenton’s longest serving receptionists, with over 24 years of employment here.I work mainly on the farm, and have long been familiar to all our farming clients. I am another one of Fenton’s Welsh speakers. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and helping out with the family farm.

I joined Fenton Vets in 2007 and am a key member of the reception team, being involved in both small and large side of reception. I play a lead role in maintaining the smooth running of our Pet Health Club. When not in work, I enjoy walking the coastal path with my three dogs and spending time with the family.
Lorna Richards, Receptionist
I am the newest member of the reception team, covering mainly Farm work. I come from a dairy farming background, and am an active member of Tiers Cross YFC. In my spare time, you’re likely to find me with my camera. For the future, I am looking to train as a Veterinary Nurse.

Becky Byrant, Stock Control Manager
I have been part of the team at Fenton Vets since 1997, and am responsible for the smooth running of the stock department. Outside work, my hobbies are fishing and playing darts. I have two young boys who manage to keep me quite busy.

Joy Williams, Admin/Insurance/Pet Passport
I started with practice in July 1975 at the North Gate surgery, which was then known as Peters and Partners. After spending 30 years nursing, I have since taken on a part time role with some of the admin roles in practice.
Rose Kelly, Receptionist
I’ve worked with animals for nearly 20 years and although I love all furries, cats are my passion. After I qualified as an A.N.A several years ago, I went on to study feline nursing and behaviour, often observing my three “Senior Kittyzens”, Phoebe, Bluebelle and Poppy to gain a valuable insight inot their weird and wonderful ways. I also have an honorary cat in the form of a 13year old cholate Labrador called Dylan, who has spent so many years in feline company, he thinks he’s the biggest cat in Pmebrokeshire! Dylan joined my fury family when I spent 10 years in Germany, working wit Military Protection ans Search Dogs so he’s a “Deutche Doggy”.
Chris Bonwick, Account Clerk
Anto Ohara, Head Groomer
I moved to Pembrokeshire from Ireland in 2014, bringing with me 8 years grooming experience. I now fulfill the role of Head Groomer at the Fenton Vets’ Pembroke brance, catering for all dog breeds. I live in Tenby with my two angels, a Westie and a Maltese. I love nothing more than going to the gym, and could be considered the “muscle” of the team!
Ria Pratty, Grooming Assistant
I studied a degree in Animal Science at Pembrokeshire College, before taking on a Grooming Assistant role. The tasks I get involved with on a day-to-day basis are generally prepping, bathing and pre-styling drying. I know the area well as I live in Pembroke Dock with my two dogs: Slash, a Scottish Terrier, and Tango, a Long Haired German Shepherd.
