Stock Control & Admin Position - Fixed Maternity Cover
We have a great job opportunity for a full-time stock control/admin role. This is a fixed one year contract to cover maternity leave. Monday – Friday between 0730-1730hrs and Saturdays 0800-1700hrs.
The role will be based at our Haverfordwest practice.
You will work closely with the Stock Manager.
There will be an opportunity to cover Saturday reception on rota after training has been given.

Job Description: The duties of stock control to include, but not limited to: placing orders of stock via the wholesaler or other providers, taking delivery and processing stock onto the practice management system, responsibility for maintaining stock levels, administration of special license drugs where appropriate, checking invoicing and delivery notes, organising returns, monitoring storage conditions and regular stock taking. Other administration duties to include, but not limited to: maintaining COSSH records, administration and recording of work done by farm vets. stock reporting and analysis, product marketing and promotion and dealing with stock related queries from vets and clients.

Currently 8 small animal vets, we are looking to recruit 2 colleagues to share an interesting and varied caseload. Ideally one person with at least 2 years' experience in small animal practice and one recent or new graduate. We are VetGDP registered to offer whatever support you might need.
We are a Gold standard cat friendly practice with all the kit you would expect to further your career including endoscope, scanner, separate radiography suite with dental x-ray and orthopedic TTA equipment.
The standard working day is 8.30-5.30pm, with one person working until 7pm on an equally shared rota (currently 1:8 rising to 1:10 post successful recruitment)
We are on call for our registered clients until 10pm each day after which the calls are taken by a dedicated out of hours' clinic. We believe this upholds our values of providing an excellent service whilst maintaining the wellbeing of our staff.
