Who We Are

Fenton Vets are a veterinary practice that has separate dedicated vet teams to treat either farm animals or pets across Pembrokeshire; both within and outside opening hours. 

We remain proudly independent, owned and operated by a core team of senior vets who aspire to maintain a team whose values towards colleagues, community and environment shape the culture of our company and the quality of service we offer.

Our Commitments

We acknowledge that our veterinary activities, services and operations have an impact on the environment and carbon footprint. Through the implementation of this sustainability policy we will document our commitment to participating in industry efforts to reduce these impacts, whilst upholding the highest standards of animal health, welfare and clinical care for our patients. 

Key Environmental Impacts from our Business

• Use and emissions from fuel: electricity, gas, water, and diesel.

• Use of environmentally sensitive medications such as parasiticides, antibiotics and anaesthetic gases.

• Consumption of raw materials including medication packaging, and single use medical items.

• Staff and client travel.

• Waste generation and disposal.

• Procurement of goods and services.

Our Actions and Targets for 2025

• Ongoing evolution of new sustainability measures, evidenced by discussion in meetings, new actions and policies.

• Share the changes made.

• Measuring and reducing our carbon footprint each year.

• Maintaining a core “green group” of staff to spearhead initiatives, and encourage staff, contractors and clients to remember their responsibilities in supporting these initiatives.

• Meet RCVS practice standards in environmental sustainability including waste reduction and  suggestion boxes for clients and staff.

• Make this policy available via our website for staff, clients, contractors and students.
