Fenton Vets are the driving force behind the ground breaking new diagnostic test for Bovine TB.

The Welsh Enferplex Pilot allows the private use of the new antibody bovine test (serum or milk) in both officially TB free herds (OTF) and officially TB free withdrawn (OFTW) herds in Wales 2020/2021.

The aim of the pilot is to use individual animals skin testing data and the Enferplex test to identify and manage out high-risk animals from these herds.

These high-risk animals will be categorised as red, amber and yellow similar to Johnes disease and will be managed out of the herd in a sustainable way.

The pilot is being undertaken by MV Diagnostics, Brendan Griffin (Fenton Vets & Iechyd Da) and Welsh Government.
